Prescription & Medical Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy sets out how prescribing decisions are made on the LoyalRx platform and the boundaries we hold ourselves to.

A valid prescription is always required

No medication is sold, offered, or displayed as purchasable on this site. Medication is dispensed only after an independent licensed provider evaluates you and issues a valid prescription, and only by a licensed pharmacy.

Independent clinical judgment

  • Providers are not employed by LoyalRx to reach any particular outcome.
  • LoyalRx does not pay providers based on the number of prescriptions written and does not override clinical decisions.
  • A provider may decline treatment, request labs, or refer you for in-person care.

Compounded medications

Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy pursuant to a prescription for an individual patient with a documented clinical need. They are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality.

Dosing, refills, and discontinuation

  • Starting dose and titration are determined by your prescriber, not selected at checkout.
  • Refills require an active prescription and current follow-up.
  • Your provider may pause or stop treatment based on side effects, labs, pregnancy, surgery, or new diagnoses.

Your responsibilities

  • Report all medications, supplements, allergies, and medical history accurately.
  • Use medication only as prescribed, and never share it.
  • Report side effects to your care team promptly; call 911 in an emergency.
  • Store medication as instructed and dispose of sharps safely.

Geographic scope

Care is available in 49 states. We do not serve California. You must be physically located in a state we serve at the time of your visit.
